After 33 years working with Oracle technologies and very close to Oracle (helping with the creation of Oracle Brazil, contracted by Oracle Education, and nearly 15 years in the ACE Program) it is now the right time to join Oracle. From this Thursday (May 19,2022 AEST) I will become Oracle’s new Distinguished Product Manager for Maximum Availability Architecture (MAA), and Competitive Intelligence. I will have the honour to join an amazing team with so many fantastic professionals I really admire.
The sad part is to say goodbye to the ACE program; after so many years of being an active member of the program, presenting 494 sessions across 42 countries around the world, and sharing unforgettable moments with many amazing people and User Groups, but as part of my new role, I will work even closer to the program by evangelizing and supporting program members as much as possible. Note that my final presentation as Oracle ACE Director will be at the Blueprint 4D conference in Las Vegas in early June (If you will be there, please come and say hello).
I would like to say thank you to everyone that help me to reach this new milestone on my career:
- My wife (for all your support and patience over all these years)
- Tom Kyte
- Markus Michalewicz
- Glen Hawkins
- Roy Swonger
- Mike Dietrich
- Sandesh Rao
- Ricardo Gonzalez
- Daniel Morgan
- Connor McDonald
- Jennifer Nicholson
- An many more (Apologies in advance if I missed someone)
Furthermore, as part of this new chapter, I am renaming my blog from OracleNZ.com to OracleMAA.com and please be tune for some great content in the horizon.
